River Café and Australian Cinémathèque | GoMA
Start your weekend at the GoMA River Cafe on Friday nights as it is transformed into Bar GoMA.
APT6 artist Wit Pimkanchanapong’s specially commissioned light installation features alongside the cool summer sounds mixed by Bar GoMA’s resident DJ and special guests. Make the most of the spectacular river and city views while enjoying the specially themed Asian food and drink menu.
The Australian Cinémathèque features Friday night screenings of films by cult Japanese filmmaker Takeshi Kitano at 8.00pm during the Bar GoMA: Asian Pop season. Kitano’s films blend action cinema and the absurd comedy. Screenings of films from the APT6 West Asia program ‘Promised Lands’ also feature at 6.00pm each Friday night.
