DJ | Kid Kenobi
With an illustrious 13-year DJ career, Kid Kenobi (Jesse Desenberg) was named Australia’s favourite DJ from 2003 to 2005. In 2007, he received an ARIA nomination for ‘The bump’ with Sydney DJ and producer Hook N Sling (Hussle Black), and became the first DJ ever to have a CD series named after him by the Ministry of Sound Australia.
Kid Kenobi has remixed more than 20 tracks for some of the world’s biggest names in dance, pop and rock. In 2007, he began a period of transition and developed Two Fresh, a new collaboration with his brother Hugga Thugg (Myles Desenberg). Together, they have remixed New Zealand hip-hop DJ P-Money, London collective Soda Boys, and American rapper Tone Loc. Two Fresh have released the independent compilation Klub Kids 01, and from this began Klub Kids, Kid Kenobi’s own record label and new home to his music writing. www.myspace.com/therealkidkenobi
