Talking about American art series
Every fortnight from 2.00pm Saturdays 6 June – 12 September. Free
This engaging series with Dr Mark Pennings, Senior Lecturer, Visual Arts (Queensland University of Technology) and special guests introduce visitors to some of the historical and social influences on the development of American art from the 1880s to the 1930s. No bookings necessary, however, seating is limited. Lecture Theatre, QAG.

Daily guided tours
Volunteer-guided tours of ‘American Impressionism and Realism: A Landmark Exhibition from the Met’ will take place at 10.30am, 11.00am, 12 noon, 1.00pm (excluding Sundays) and 2.30pm. Please purchase your ticket and meet your guide inside the exhibition entry.
The Met Up Late
Visit the exhibition on Friday nights and step back in time to New York’s Jazz Age, with resident DJs spinning American jazz on vinyl — from blues and Dixieland to the 1940s bebop of jazz greats Miles Davis and Charlie Parker — in the surrounds of The Met cocktail bar.
