The Children's Art Centre conducts research to explore and investigate children's understanding of art.
Past research has focused on exhibitions and artist-run programs developed at the Queensland Art Gallery for young audiences. The Gallery's ongoing research program aims to deepen and share knowledge about children's potentials and abilities, and provides an archive of children's learning about the arts.
