Rights and Reproductions Service

The Queensland Art Gallery's Rights and Reproductions Service can supply photographic images of works in our Collection for a range of uses, including publications, products, research and private study. There are several photography options, depending on your purpose:

• 5" x 4" colour transparencies (supplied for reproduction purposes ― 16 week hire)
• 8" x 10" black and white prints (supplied for reproduction purposes or research/private study ― purchased)
• slides (supplied for special request; not for reproduction ― purchased).

Please allow ample time before your publication date when requesting images. Images may not be readily available for all works in the Collection, and in these cases photography will need to be arranged by the Gallery. You will be advised as soon as possible if photography needs to occur.

Demands on the Gallery's photographic service are such that it is necessary to process all photographic requests in strict order of receipt. The Gallery is not able to guarantee a delivery date.

If the image you require is for research or private study, you may be able to obtain prints or postcards from the Gallery Store. Please contact the Gallery Store to check availability.
